Celebrity Apprentice 24 hour fitness challenge

First of all, Get well soon Bret!!! Praying for a speedy recovery!

This week's Celebrity Apprentice had me laughing through the whole episode, despite my sadness at Bret's illness. The show started off with The Donald's son hitting golf balls. Little Baron looks like a mini version of his father. That being said, he manages to be adorable. Those blue eyes were just beautiful! It's interesting.. The Donald's son Don, looks like his father but not. Don looks like he has something jammed where the sun doesn't shine all the time. When he speaks though, its apparent that he does have a sense of humor, which with his looks makes it even more funny :)

The task was for both teams to work with 24 hours fitness and come up with an exercise routine. Whoever 24 hour fitness liked best got a donation on top of whatever each team raised. Tenacity immediately went all in on fundraising, minus Cyndi who was working with Lady Gaga. I have to say Holli did a wonderful job raising money, not so much with organization and creativity.

Poor Curtis, ever the organizer, had everything planned down to the last minute and then promptly had his timeline blown out of the water. lol. People who are rigid planners often dont know what to do when their plans unravel, but Curtis did a good job trying to stay on task. Overall, Tenacity came up with a basic, uncreative, but effective work out routine. The concept would not have been marketable since it is like every other work out on the market right now. The team managed to pull through on the donations and that gave them the win.

Taking the direct opposite approach, Rock Solid, went with what they knew... Rock & Roll. Where as Tenacity went for the cash, Rock Solid focused on making a fun, creative work out. They definitely used their strength when they went with a Rock themed work out. The whole concept made me chuckle. Work Outs included The Air Guitar, Tour Bus Thrust, and Praying to the Porcelain God. The group made backstage VIP passes to give each participant. This would be a smart marketing move if 24 hour Fitness implements the class, as people would have it to refer to to pass it on to other prospective class members.

LOL Sharon went equipped with a whip to "motivate people". The music was fun and everyone in the class seemed to be enjoying themselves. Since each donation had to be matched up with a body, Bret called on some of his.. um.. lol connections to help fill the class. When one of the women decided to um help Bret with his tour bus thrusts, the look on the 24 hour fitness lady was PRICELESS.

I think the biggest mistakes Rock solid made, was not getting every one in on the fundraising. Bret had many connections that could have been utilized, wihch would have been more money for charity.

Big props to both teams for raising more money in a single episode in a season of The apprentice!!

I have to say, I really gained some respect for The Donald when he decided NOT to fire anyone. It would have been a tough decision to make at any rate. On a future money making stand point. let's face it, you want to make money, but money that can be made again and again is much better. Team Tenacity's idea would not have been a long term money maker since the idea has been seen and done before. It would get lost in all the other fitness classes out there. Rock solid's idea could be marketed and used over and over. It definitly would stand out.

hmmm... I wonder if The Donald could take an average joe shmo and make him or her into a brilliant business person.. maybe and idea for a new reality show? LOL

I really miss sharon's talk show.. wonder what else she has in the works??

Disney/Sea World

So, i haven't blogged for a while. We went on a week long vacation to Orlando. Now, we are back, and I have been unpacking and cleaning.. the normal stuff you have to do after a vacation. In some ways, it is more tiring than the vacation itself!! LOL

We hit your normal spots for Orlando; Disney and Sea World. We did not get to see much of Disney because in planning the trip, we allowed 1 day for each park. Big mistake. Anyway, I went with a breastfeeding 4 month old. So, if any of you are thinking of going with a baby, I have a few tips for you.

1. Be prepared to park your stroller. alot. They arent allowed in any of the rides or exhibits. They also have to be folded up to ride the tram or monorail. I recommend taking the boat to Magic kingdom. You can just roll that sucker right on the boat. P.S. lesson learned from me... if you bring a stroller make sure its light, you will be picking the stroller up alot to get it off and on the tram on monorail LOL.

2. Know where the baby care centers are. They are a lifesaver. You can take your baby there to get out of the heat, feed, change, or for naps. They even have a room for nursing mothers. Also, if you left any of the baby essentials at home, you can by them at the center. There is only 1 in the Disney Park, and can be quite a hike to get to, escpecially at Epcot if you are in the countries.

Disney had one room for nursing mothers. Luckily it wasn't crowded. Sea World had 3 rooms, one mom to a room with a changing table inside. (I didnt have to wait) Very nice for those that prefer privacy while feeding. I don't require it.. with motherhood comes the loss of your modesty. I did encounter a mother that kept popping her head in hoping the room was empty at Magic Kingdom. :) My favorite baby care area was at Sea world. My least favorite was at Epcot. Sea world had the individual nursing rooms, a nice big play and changing area. Epcot had a small baby care center, it got corwded easily.. not to mention the long hike to get there, if you were in the countries.

3. Food is expensive. Bring your own snacks and water.

4. Animal Kingdom... the shows are extremely loud.. escpecially the Lion king show. I dont recommend taking your baby in. I brought mine, but didnt know better at the time. It's up to you, but I wont again.

5. don't forget the sunscreen!!

6. Disney souveneers are cheaper OUTSIDE of disney..

Thats all I can think of for right now lol. Overall, i enjoyed the trip.. we got rained out of Magic Kingdom 2 hours after getting there, so we saw very little and didnt get to ride anything. We ate at T-Rex one night there. It was alot of fun. The kids loved it.. well, mine did. The table near us had a little boy in tears. It is loud in there. It had a T-rex that roars.. and every few minutes the room goes dim and you hear an explosion. On the wall a virtual comet streaks across the virtual sky. The wait is about an hour but the food was very good. If you have kiddies, be sure to take them out to dig for "dinasaur bones" :) LOL.

Sea Wrold was alot of fun. we spent alot of time in the kiddie section. We did go see the Shamu show. The trainers did not swim with the whales like the used to. i guess in wake of the recent accident, but it was a wonderful show none the less. The klydesdale horses are no longer there. They have a few draft horses to replace them.

Have a great day!!
